And, I cannot repeat this often enough, if you would rather have a dead child than a living autistic child, then you should not be a parent.
On another note: even if this fallacy was a tiny bit true (which it's not) if you are a parent who is more worried about having an autistic kid than a CHILD WHO DIED from a preventable disease, it's not the autistic folks who have something wrong with them.
I think it is important to note that thereβs absolutely nothing wrong with having a different neurotype, such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, etc. Pathologizing someone with Autism potentially exacerbates existing harms theyβre likely already struggling with. It leads to harmful labeling and stigma.
Vaccines save lives.
And no, they do not cause autism.
