Oh I’m copying this thank you

(Disclaimer: I may or may not be technically capable enough for such a thing 🤣)

The hot chocolate servers in Polar Express ‘only have one rule…never ever let it cool’ but you’d think their one rule should really be something from City & Guilds Level 2 Health & Safety for Catering training or international equivalent

That’s a great point about separation

When we complained about a solicitor his colleague from the same practice wrote the reply

That reply, of course, completely missed the point and made little effort to understand the complaint…what a surprise

Absolutely shocking

We complained to a solicitor once in writing, they’ll send an ill-mannered ‘well actually.…’ reply and hope you give up

It’s grim

Good luck!

They seem largely unaccountable too

I asked once and it seems no one keeps a count of how many people raise formal complaints at the solicitor level - it’s only counted of that person continues on afterwards to invoice the ombudsman

So we have no idea

Great stuff! So sorry to see you’ve had to put so much work into getting a suitable education

It shouldn’t be this difficult

Also crediting a photographer in a social post makes @brendanjharkin.bsky.social very happy

Mental health rights-based treatment guidelines

Mental health rights-based treatment guidelines

As a carer who is deeply familiar with the current system, I strongly support the ‘Give 5’ approach to rights-based reform of mental health services

Same newspaper was one of the first to make its pages unreadable with a massive, massive % of ads

My phone wouldn‘t even load its pages at one point

Wasn’t it beautifully done

Love a show where the writing and characters have room to breathe

Will rewatch soon!

Cormorant on a branch in the river

A poorly-executed shot from this morning but by‘dammit it’s been a week and I was glad to be out at all

Thank you so much

Also that’s a great point, we always worry for those who don’t have an advocate as they barely stand a chance

It’s been so so long, appreciate the kind words

It really is Seána, it has added so much extra strain and harm to an already difficult situation.

The Participation and Practice of Rights charity does interesting work on this from a human rights POV and - as always - women are disproportionately disadvantaged.

Thank you for the kind words.

Hope you and yours are doing ok

That’s a great way of putting it Debbie, thank you

That system has added so so much extra work, exhausti and harm to the situation needlessly

Thank you, appreciate it

That’s an interesting point, this is the first respite care (in its own way) we’ve ever had despite asking over and over

In terms of being hard to live with I wouldn’t put it that way in our case but providing that care with not much official help for the carer is hard
