ive not heard the word holistic b4, would you mind elaborating just a bit there? and yeah, for me the way i end up dealing with it is just making characters that i connect to, which usually inclues darker skin tones, though i do know that some of the poc community dont always like that

Every time I make ocs for myself, I they will at LEAST be well tanned, no lighter, because I do not connect with characters that are the color of a cracker.

Yes yes I get it being black sucks, but it's genuinely something I get dysphoric over, that my skin isn't darker

Do i understand that I shouldn't want to be black? Yes
Is it something I feel anyways? YES.
