I never got the hang of Twitter back in the day, and Iβve not gotten the hang of this place yet. Iβm still posting a lot at Instagram, because communicating via pictures seems more natural to me. Anyway, I am in Cornwall for the opening of the first major Ithell Colquhoun exhibition. Itβs fab!
New to my collection (found at Antique Alley here in Portland a couple days ago): a lovely CDV of a girl named Ann Biddle and her wee (stuffed?) kitten, photographed by J.E. Watson of Detroit, Michigan.

Autumn wanes & winter is creeping up, so it's time for gothic ambient electronics, right? Check out Orange Clearing by @diavoleria.bsky.social for when you explore the old mansion at the end of the lane...and give her a follow too! #synthsky #ambientsky

It doesnβt look like that display has the one essential item I always buy at Marks & Sparks when in the UKβthe best opaque black tights.

I never met Norm, but I loved his music so. Still not over his untimely passing.
I like that there is a very good new single from both Horsegirl and Goat Girl (both via Beggars Group) this week.
Madrid-based label, Glossy Mistakes, just announced this exciting new compilation. I'll likely be pursuing a vinyl copy from a US distributor, but I think I need that Cuco PΓ©rez track right now!

I just counted. It's still November, and I've already played 275 releases from 2024 (not counting reissues) on my radio show, Turtles Have Short Legs. I like them all (or else I wouldn't have played them). This is going to making compiling my "Best of 2024" list challenging!
