My first steps into political activism were to protest and call out the war in Iraq when I was in high school.
We are not going to line up behind another senseless, stupid, mistaken, forever war.
Especially without any attempt by this administration to justify its actions.
If there is some kind of imminent threat that precludes Congressional deliberation, the Administration has to make its case for that. We've seen none of it so far.
With Iraq, they at least made an effort to marshall support in the international community and make the case to the American people.
This time around, nothing. Just assertions and bravado. We are completely in the dark.
Great seeing the coverage in the @bostonglobe.com today of our childcare policy plans! The cost of childcare, particularly infant care, around Boston is absurd. It's holding us back, and it's an area where we have to fight for big changes. This one's personal!

We’re in the heart of the storm now until early afternoon—winds gusting 50+ mph & snowfall at 2+ in/hr. It’s impossible to keep roads clear under whiteout conditions, but we have 900+ plows & trucks out keeping roadways manageable until we can really clear once the snow slows. Stay in & stay safe!
