And because of how weak the endboard really is you can't afford to miss out on any of the pieces. Where before you could always just setup two toads as a backup off abyssrhine now you're effectively a glass cannon ftk setup.

Very specifically POST banlist mermail, there's so many opportunities for people to completely fuck up their lines. Coel board space, opening coel, mandatory effects of nept if you mill it, greethys hand counting, managing 5 in Gy for moulin whilst also getting the minstrel rip to stay nib safe.
Konami please give water some support, we can't keep doing this, and if you ban this card the whole deck crumbles.
My point is that by announcing something potentially bad is coming, but not expanding on it at all, all you've done is stir up a fuss/frenzy over this for no real reason. You could have just not mentioned it until you were able to, which would be far more professional.
Why would you say "I don't want to speculate or confirm anything" when all this post does is encourage speculation.
R6. - 0-2 Vs Ryzeal (๐ฒ L)
G1- fuwa'd them so they passed on detonator, but they had double veiler. Really grindy game but ran out of resources.
G2 - I mistrel their hand. It's ash, veiler, nib, droll, ext ryzeal or something equivalent. Try to play it out, can't beat nib + droll. Die.
R5 - 0-2 Vs Ryzeal (๐ฒ L)
G1 - Got drolled and couldn't push through their board while setting up anything significant and got OTK'd
G2 - had to choose between moulin or minstrel. Chose minstrel, they then dweller me on the crack back and walk over my entire board with no effects in Gy.
R4. 2-0 Vs Argostars (๐ฒ L)
G1 - insanely fun game, very grindy with lots of back and forth
G2 - impulse on summoner monk into scoop lol
R3. 2-1 Vs mermail (๐ฒW) yippee the mirror
G1 - flubbed a bit and forgot to moulin handrip but still set up dweller and won
G2 - minstrel ripped my only handtrap, oh well
G3 - solid back and forth. Metaltronus to summon poseidra send dragoons add neptabyss sealed the game.
R2. 0-2 Vs bystial maliss (๐ฒW)
G1 - brick into otk'd
G2 - decent opener, get immediately shiftered. Gymir pass with backrow and handtraps. Manage to control the board but top deck dead cards for 4 turns and then maliss has allure + chessy + talents.
Unfortunate.
R1. 2-1 vs Hero (๐ฒ W)
G1 - went first opened nept. Did my start to be droll safe, got veilered drolled. Had poseidra setup but hero extended into the sun and won.
G2- set up board and handripped with solemn/impulse set.
G3- fuwa'd opponent, ash their fusion destiny. Break plasma pass and kill.
Might as well do one of these since I'm playing -

It's truly unfortunate that people are willing to take advantage of your kindness like this.

All of these could be in one story and I would not bat an eye. This isn't me dismissing their individual art styles but your complaint just seems to be that you don't like anime human designs. Or dragons. Rather than the actual art style.
They may not match with the albaz lore aesthetic but you could easily throw together an aesthetic of all the "'cute" archetypes and for the most part they would appear consistent enough to be comparable in the way you're doing.
There is a possibility that the design, as in the effects, are decided by the TCG, but the artwork is almost definitely done by konami's in-house team or selection.
I would argue that fluffals, pranks and madolche all have far more similar art "styles" than the ones I posted.
A watercolor painting of a happy white samoyed (Sprout) in front of a giant monstera plant.
The first panel of the Cup Pup comic. A yellow puppy walks down a sidewalk lined with daisies. They are carrying a reusable cup in their mouth and wearing a backpack. Text: "I love my cup. I bring it everywhere."
A tableau of 4 golden retrievers. 1 sleeping, 1 rolling on it's back chewing a teddy bear, 1 looking at the previous, 1 jumping happily at food on a counter.
3 white ducks swimming through lily pads. The 1st is carrying fairy bread and leaving sprinkles in its wake. The 2nd looks at a fish. The 3rd is wearing a flower on its head like a hat.

TCG exclusives are designed for the TCG by the exact same people that do the rest of the cards.
Also the whole "generic anime people" feels insanely reductive especially. You can boil down any human based archetype in this game to "anime people" if you ignore everything about the differences in design and art style.
We've had the vernusylphs who are (despite you posting the one human looking character) primarily spirits of the forest and a variety of animals. We've had the runick spells in POV, the snake-eyes, the goblin-bikers, doodle beasts, P.U.N.K, floowandereeze etc
"We get X character in an elaborate outfit" can you show me any archetype where that isn't the case because even old archetypes do this. Harpies, blue-eyes, stardust, RDA, heroes can all be reduced to "dragon or people in elaborate outfits".
We've had stuff like memento retraining classic cards-
Reducing primite down to "it's just another dragon" and complaining about the icejades being people sounds more like you're just fatigued by the game rather than your initial complaint being about the ART of the game. The art styles are clearly not homogenised, and the concepts aren't repeated.
Like the white forest spells have to be some of the most creative card designs we've had in ages. Icejades I'm biased but like you can't tell me there's another card that looks like curse
I personally feel like this is massively nitpicking. Here's some examples of newer cards that have pretty distinct artstyles/aesthetics.
