That is going to look great! I've never thought to make one before. You have inspired me.

Truth!
My latest boards. The big ones are for a friend who ordered them to give to his kids for Christmas. They are ash, maple, and walnut. The smaller one is made from off cuts from the other two and suplemented with some thin strips of padauk I had laying about. #woodworking #cuttingboards
Thanks. It was honestly pieced together with what I had to hand when I remembered I had offered the donation. ๐

The Eiffel Tower.
At 58, I had never traveled out of North America until this summer. My wife and I visited friends in the UK. We were in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Inverness, London and a day trip to Paris. I loved it all but these are the things that choked me up upon seeing them with my own eyes. #travel #UK #Paris
In 39 years studying Theology, I have seen God refered to as a Father, a Mother, an architect, a farmer, a shepherd, a physician and perhaps a half a dozen more, but never a barrista. Eh, I'm ok with it. No foam lord, full caff.

You know what you did.
I like the paritioned one, but both are awesome.
The details are incredible! The tooled pickguard, the cut out spade neck guard and the turquoise knobs! Wow. Just wow.
Handmade telecaster made of Spalted Brazillian Cherry.

Maple, ash, and padauk cutting board I made recently. My first attempt at handles. Mostly happy with it.
Thank you!
Thanks!
My second attempt at a chessboard and pieces. The board squares are 2x2 (ish). The black pieces are walnut and the white ones are black Limba. The border is also black limba. The pieces were made from the off cuts. I am mostly happy with how it turned out...mostly. #woodworking #Chess #MakeStuff
Our camper has very little counter space so I used some leftover Black Limba and Nogal from a project to make this board/tray. The handles serve to keep it from falling in the sink when it is in counter space mode.
My wife's Jumper being oh so photogenic. #jumpingspiders

Two boards I made over the Mardi Gras break. One is a commission for a friend and is made from a combination of Brazillian Cherry, Black Limba, and Maple. The other is for a charity auction for a school where I used to teach. It is made from Padauk and Maple.
At least our brains are safe. They don't seem to like those.
Agreed! Getting out of the CBD was a nightmare last night.
Yeah a Chaos float broke down for about a half an hour near the 600 block of St Charles Ave
I live in Greater NOLA. Since Epiphany we have been celebrating like this. It has been steadily building and on Tuesday it will reach a crescendo while much of the rest of the world celebrates with...pancakes. #muses #MardiGras #NOLA
A couple of months ago my daughter and her friend found her wandering the streets abandoned and scared. She seems to be doing better.
Thanks so much!
This is my daughter's cat Groovy. He has no sense of propriety or decorum. #orangecatbehavior
In the late 80' I saw Peter, Paul and Mary live at the Saenger in NOLA. I saw them again in the late 90's that time I had a backstage pass and got to meet them. When I told them how much their music meant to me, Peter gave me a hug. My kids have gotten tired of hearing about it over the years. #PPM
I once spent 14 hours working craft service for a movie that was shot in my hometown. Colin Farrell's stock just went way up with me.
A little tip from someone born and raised here in Southeast Louisiana.
NO KING CAKE BEFORE TWELFTH NIGHT.
NO "XMAS" KING CAKE. NO "NEW YEAR" KING CAKE.
NO KING CAKE. PERIOD.
Partaking in King Cake outside its appointed time is how you get bad things in 2025.
Thank you. ๐
