A5 I haven't seen this before, many thanks for sharing @drchrism.bsky.social, great concept #LTHEchat

Wishing you all well in your endeavours.
Remember, 1 small thing can make a difference. And you're probably already doing a lot to support mental wellbeing - be sure to reflect, recognise and celebrate those things too! #LTHEchat (2/2)
How does the #LTHEchat hour go so quickly?
Wow, thank you everyone for engaging and sharing your thoughts, examples, images, and takeaway ideas.
(1/2)
A5 @theeddesigner.bsky.social great image, if it makes you smile then that'll be lifting your mood and supporting your mental wellbeing (and I'm always impressed when people can find gifs so quickly!) #LTHEchat
A5 authentic support and examples are so important, and loving the image (definitely a theme among responses with cats and dogs, and nature) #LTHEchat
A5 A great way to get through, finding that route in is so important @suebecks.bsky.social #LTHEchat
A5 Cats! Absolutely! @jacquithijm.bsky.social #LTHEchat
A5 @danceswithcloud.bsky.social you've reminded me of some work of colleagues, using collage to represent how you're feeling - they used it when setting assessments to ascertain how students felt in preparation for submissions, the images saying so much more than the words could #LTHEchat
A5 @kjhaxton.com love the use of photos if you can't get there yourself, and at this time of year it can feel a while until the next break or holiday, so a great idea to use an image instead #LTHEchat
A4 I agree @lydiaarnold.bsky.social, when I first set out exploring mental wellbeing 'boundary setting' was the thing that really struck me as important, and something I try to remind others of #LTHEchat
Plant, succulent; photographed from above demonstrating symmetry in nature
A5 For me, these kind of plants make me think about my wellbeing; a sense of calm and order, but they need looking after #LTHEchat
(Mental wellbeing examples are context specific so this may not resonate with you, hopefully you find an image that works for you)
A4 @kjhaxton.com really good points here, if you've got a good working relationship with your students' union/guild/association this can potentially be an area in which to get them involved, giving that authentic student voice to the examples #LTHEchat
A4 @dradamtate.bsky.social that packed curriculum thing is a challenge, sometimes it's about the small things where possible, e.g. adapting an example so it's exploring wellbeing, but it really does depend on the context. #LTHEchat
Great to hear that your reflections focus on that really 'human' element, the caring and compassion that's coming through in other responses. #LTHEchat
A3 Acknowledging external factors (beyond the classroom and even beyond the university), such as clock changes, other things locally, can have a really big impact as it demonstrates that we notice it too and we are supporting our students/community through those changes as well #LTHEchat
A3 great range of ideas being shared tonight, thank you! Themes emerging around pacing of assessment/activity, opportunities to interact with others, acknowledging how things make us feel and signposting to support and guidance. #LTHEchat
A3 really like the way you phrased that @theeddesigner.bsky.social, 'normalising', so that acknowledging how things make us feel, and signposting to support and advice is something that's open to all #LTHEchat
A1 @santanuvasant.bsky.social a really good point there, in discussions about student wellbeing it's often not long before we start considering staff wellbeing too - the too are often linked #LTHEchat
A2 Really interesting idea, it being noticed if absent - hadn't thought of it like that before, many thanks @martinrich106.bsky.social #LTHEchat
A2 Really good points @kjhaxton.com
A1 @jacquithijm.bsky.social that's a really interesting point about online engagement and knowing whether it's getting through appropriately, mind you, I've had times when I've wondered the same with in-person activities! #LTHEchat
A1 @tavoer8.bsky.social really considered response here, thank you - some really big topics in here for the sector (and perhaps society more generally) to be exploring #LTHEchat
A1 @charlottemarshall.bsky.social I wonder about that too, I've often heard that some people aren't keen to approach topics because they don't feel equipped, or perhaps ready themselves #LTHEchat
A1 @suebecks.bsky.social indeed, mental wellbeing support and enhancement can come in a huge variety of forms, and be very context specific - as educators we can often sense what's right in the moment #LTHEchat
A1 @martinrich106.bsky.social, great to hear that you think about transitions, change is such an important time and an opportunity to address mental wellbeing #LTHEchat
A1: @charlottemarshall.bsky.social that's been a recurring theme in my discussions to date, that it's seen as something that sits as a nice extra and is often 'left' to other teams to address
