Last tuesday we went to Brighton for the day and I spent all of my money on clothes. Dad bought me a portable typewriter. On the pavements there, there were millions of LADYBIRDS.

2/2 the flan ring, cover the leave overnight in a cold place or fridge. The next day remove the ring and grate chocolate over it. A loose bottom 7" cake tin can be used instead of flan ring. Note: This is Pitman Shorthand. * indicates word I can't transcribe.
1/2 Grease a 7" flan ring and put on a * serving plate. Roughly crush the biscuits with a rolling pin and chop the walnuts coarsely and mix together. Cream together the butter, sugar and golden syrup. Beat in the sifted cocoa, then work in the biscuits and walnuts. When well mixed press * into
