Anything short of that is setting the stage for a massive wealth grab from people of color that will re-entrench racial disparities for generations.
Too often, activists are more focused on sorting people into categories of good and bad than on how people actually change their minds, beliefs, politics, and actions. Since July, more than a dozen pregnant children have been moved to a single facility in the small town of San Benito, along the south Texas border. The children kept in Texas are as young as 13, and about half are pregnant because of rape, according to a joint investigation by the Texas Newsroom and the California Newsroom. In Texas, abortion is banned in nearly all circumstances, including rape and incest.

it's 2026: kansas passes a law nullifying trans people's licenses. crickets.

Such an important point and reminds me of a book I just read about the unique power of libraries to reach across age groups and tie us all together toward community. It was kind of like reading a Studio Ghibli movie but about libraries.
