Read left to right Panel 1: Skratch curiously eyes a button with a “DO NOT PRESS” sign above it. Panel 2: Skratch presses the button Panel 3: Skratch experiences *instant regret* as his action unleashed a ton of water from above. The wave of water makes a big SPLASH. Panel 4: Skribble laughs with tears in her eyes, “ha ha, curiosity killed the cat!” Skratch is very upset having been doused by a sudden waterfall and is irked by Skribble’s comment. The cat paw in Panel 2 is from Mario Maker. I struggled to come up with an illustration for this page and the next about instant regret, so I established both animal characters and made a connecting story.
Top of page: INSTANT KARMA!!! Middle (image): Skratch and Skribble get into a fight. Skratch is quite angry and maybe Skribble regrets what she did. (Probably not.) Bottom of page: for instant justice
Final page: instant gratification (sparkly border) everything nowadays is quick, quick, quick. in an instant, you can get whatever you wish. but at what cost? is it really worth it? The background features a night sky with stars and constellations of Skratch and Skribble.

INSTANT JOB = INSTANT MONEY Skratch, with an annoyed expression, says “in this economy?” with the word “this” underlined. In smaller text, “what would I know? I’m just a cat.” I originally just had “INSTANT JOB = INSTANT MONEY” take up the whole page, but it seemed plain compared to the rest of the collection, so Skratch was added in. At first, I named the cat “Skribble” based off of a cat pattern I made in Animal Crossing New Horizons that I named “Spiffy”, but later decided to switch names.
instant Reply leads to instant fear… Skratch, slightly hunched and with back turned to the reader, stares at his phone frustrated and exclaims, “ah, catscratch! what do I say?”

Just finished watching this playthrough of Last Window: The Secret of Cape West after playing Hotel Dusk: Room 215. Both games are peak! It was cool to watch the playthrough with each day matching the date in-game (calendar coincidence this year)!
