Dram 4
Finish: medium to long finish, with a strawberry note persisting, together with a mild spiciness.
Very decent dram, it scores a 3/5.

Palate: bright, juicy and sweet. Strawberries, berry cordial, apple juice. Also a bit spicy, white pepper.
#BlindDrams
Dram 4
Finish: quite long, with a somewhat artificial cherry note lingering.
Much better than the previous three, this one scores a 4 for me.
#BlindDrams
Dram 4
Palate: cola cubes, maraschino cherries, raspberry jam. Sweet and oily.
#BlindDrams
Dram 3
Finish: medium short. Generally quite pleasant, but nothing stands out. It'll be a 2/5.
#BlindDrams
Dram 3
Palate: quite sweet, mixed berry yogurt, also spicy, black pepper, spearmint.
#BlindDrams
Dram 3
Nose: (my stuffy nose doesn't let me notice much here) perhaps menthol, blue berry soft candy.
#BlindDrams
Dram 2
Finish: medium length finish, with the Dr Pepper taste remaining.
A bit better than the first one, but still a 1/5.
#BlindDrams
Dram 2
Palate: quite dry arrival, and bitter. Flat Dr Pepper, overbrewed black tea, cough syrup.
#BlindDrams
Dram 2
Nose: wood varnish, grape jelly, wood shavings, petrichor
#BlindDrams
Dram 1
Finish: the finish is quite pleasant. All the spice and bitterness has vanished, and what lingers is the prune sweetness.
Nose was OK, palate not great at all, finish quite decent. All in all, it'll be a 1/5.

Dram 1
Palate: bitter arrival, mellowing a bit (only a bit) afterwards showing slight sweetness and plenty of spiciness. Chewing on bitter orange peel, spice mix (clove, allspice), but also prunes, especially in the background.
#BlindDrams
Dram 1
Nose: honey, orange zest, allspice

All ready for tonight's #BlindDrams (other than my stuffy nose 🤦)
Ha! Look at that, coming to St Andrews
Fife whisky festival! Great as usual
I've not been drinking much lately, but at last I managed to kill these two great bottles
So sad to hear Ben, RIP
Onto some serious sherry cask exploration today
While in Barcelona during the holidays I visited a vermouth bodega (Vermuts Padró). Very interesting, I learned lots that I didn't know. Lots of experimentation with their botanicals and citrics as well as maturarion.
Dram 5
Finish and thoughts: rather long finish. Overall very good dram. A solid 4.
#BlindDrams
Dram 5
Palate: ashy, smoked bacon, charred pineapple, ginger.
#BlindDrams
Dram 5
Nose: whoa massive smoke right from the start. Fritos crisps. Like smelling the clothes after a bbq day.
#BlindDrams
Dram 4
Nose: pov you enter the kitchen when someone's baking. Cinnamon, gingerbread.
Palate: mouth coating, a bit sweet but also quite dry. Feels like the theme today, but black tea again. Pine resin, prunes.
Thoughts: much better put together than the previous two. It scores a 3 for me.
#BlindDrams
Dram 3
Finish and thoughts: medium length, with a bitter and sweet spice note. Similar to dram 2 but on steroids. Not my cup of tea. It scores a 1.
#BlindDrams
Dram 3
Palate: spicy and bitter, again overbrewed black tea, like chewing cloves, not very pleasant.
#BlindDrams
Dram 3
Nose: orange peel, clove, baking spices. It feels quite similar to the previous one, with a citrusy touch.
#BlindDrams
Dram 2
Finish and thoughts: medium to long finish, with the black tea note lingering. For me this is a step down from dram 1. Nose was uneventful and palate is a bit too over the place. It scores a 2.
#BlindDrams
Dram 2
Palate: bitter, black tea, concentrated chai, astringent but also a bit sweet, prunes.
#BlindDrams
Dram 2
Nose: dusty, allspice, clove, used tea leaves. Somehow it feels restrained, perhaps it needs water.
