Nintendo Switch firmware update to 20.0.0, patch notes The first firmware update of 2025 for the Switch 1 has just been released, and it's a pretty significant one. Ahead of the Switch 2's launch on June 5, Nintendo have added new features to the HOME Menu for Virtual Game Cards and GameShare, and have also added the option to transfer console data to Nintendo Switch 2 systems. One minor change of note that has also been made is the appearance of Donkey Kong's user icon, which now reflects his appearance in the upcoming Donkey Kong Bananza.
