Qikiqtania attempts to prevent brother Tiktaalik from making a terrible mistake. Unlike Tiktaalik, Qikiqtania remained waterbound and could not support its weight on land.

Protosphyraena, the edgiest fish of the Western Interior Seaway. Not only does it have a swordfish's needle-sharp bill, its mouth is armed with teeth and its pectoral fins are serrated. the whole front half is weaponized!

Javelina maybe? It’s got a lot of the “main” dinosaur groups aside from stegosaurs; stick the camera on a tree next to a watering hole in the dry season and you’d probably get some good stuff
i’ve always wondered about, like, art merch in cons like this in general. Like acrylic charms and enamel pins where the artist’s *work* may be on them, but who actually *made* the items? how were they treated while making them?
these days, will any nature documentary? i don’t feel like you see much in the way of, like “guts spilling out of live animals” in *any* big production, at least not these days

Gecqua is totally a golden-tailed gecko imo, both secrete fluids from their tails! i think it's an interesting direction to, instead of making the water starter semi-aquatic, make it based off an animal that weaponizes liquid
