Thank you for these questions! These are helpful to actually ask because I don't think people know how to counter that note, myself included.
I do think more often than not it tends to be a personal preference thing, because the note is usually vague.
It also usually comes from people who don't work in animation. It's hard not to assume they're brain just isn't wired for it, but I just wondered if I was missing something.

I was at a script reading last night for someone else and his script felt very animated to me? It even had some adult swim vibes.
Two people gave him that note. "I saw this as live action. You need to add stuff that you can only do in animation to justify that." But I didn't know wtf they meant.
One note people give on scripts is "This script just reads as live action to me. You need to add things to it that you can only do in animation."
Possibly a stupid question, but I never know what they mean by that. Because everything gets met with "You can just do that with VFX/puppets."

I've gotten a bit more trigger happy with blocking lol. There's only a handful of people who might get an actual note from me vs "You left a real bean soup comment and it annoyed me."
I think some people will also block you if they hate one or more of the people you follow.

I've been give a week to develop, write, and rewrite 50 pages in the past. Then they'd go film it in a week.
Mistakes and story issues are inevitable at that speed.
Which leads to the 'this has to be AI' assumption.
In reality, it's just sloppy translation work and companies wanting writers to follow a hyper specific formula. You can even find books that break down the formula and you can see how exact it is.
I remember watching a vertical drama where I could tell a non-English speaker wrote it. It was just common ESL mistakes.
I don't say this to shame them. English is hard! But it's jarring because the actors are native English speakers. Hearing a native speaker make these mistakes rings false.
I've worked in vertical dramas and a lot of people think they're written by AI.
Most aren't. A big part of it is that writers are told what to write and have to follow a formula. A lot of the CEOs don't speak English, and they prefer translations that sound good to their ears over accuracy.
