Being an antiwar Diaspora Jew at this historical moment means being caught between an Israeli government that thinks we’re disloyal and doesn’t care if its actions lead to more global antisemitism, and populists on right and left who think we’re loyal to Israel above all else.

If I lived in say, the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Iraq or Iran, and Israel was consistenly attacking my country and killing my friends and families, often with US behind them, I think I might be an "antisemite" in the way the ADL, AIPAC, and the AJC call people who don't like Israel.

Far be it from me to correct a master interpreter of the play! But it was indeed Arthur Kennedy. And as if that weren't enough, Kennedy also premiered Chris in "All My Sons" 2 yrs earlier and then John Proctor in "Crucible" 4 yrs later. He was basically Arthur Miller's muse!

Pretty amazing that Arthur Kennedy was basically Arthur Miller's muse in his BIG 3 plays - premiering the roles of Chris in "All My Sons" (1947), Biff in "Death of a Salesman" (1949) and Proctor in "The Crucible" (1953). Quite a run.
