I am a watercolour and digital artist and a papier-mâché sculpture creator. While my art has always been with me, it's been the most serious in the last few years. https://lesliebornart.wordpress.com/superlinks/

A woman with brown hair holds up her right fist, her left hand holds a wrench, paintbrush, and pencil. She stands among cacti and dandelions. Representing Earth.
A woman with brown hair holds up her right fist, her left hand holds a snake. She stands among candles and stones. Representing Fire.
A woman with brown hair holds up her right fist, her left hand holds a fish. She stands among goblets. Representing Water.
A woman with brown hair holds up her right fist, her left hand holds a feather. She stands with a guitar. Representing Wind.
I drew these Elemental Mothers representing Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind. I hope you like them as much as I do!
Hello Sir Duncan! You’re so handsome!!
I've been really feeling the ACNH love lately so: drop your town rep screenies and I'll draw em!! (I'll give them elfs ears if u want) 💚 #acnh #animalcrossing
Anytime 😊 You got this 💪
If you put your mind to it, anything is possible! (Just don’t choke!)
Today was one of the first days I wasn’t mad I have to walk so slow right now. The sun felt so so good! 🌱
🥳🥳 and they’re all so jubilant and whimsical!
🐙👋 if his arms weren’t so full of pizza you’d get 8 waves! 😊
A purple and orange octopus holding a slice of pepperoni pizza
This is Cal. He really likes pizza - a lot. He’s happiest when there’s a piece in each arm, he’d very happily share with you!
A green and yellow octopus is holding a glass of red wine looking at it with wide eyes.
Hi friend! This is Ellie. She just found the wonder of wine - all the varietals and colours. It’s a wonderful world.
9x12” pencil crayon
9 rectangle cards with different robots on them. Watercolour and pencil crayon.
The finished art cards. I’ll be doing more. This was fun!
White paper with 9 rectangles on it. Each rectangle has a robot on it with a watercolour background.
Art is always a bit weird to me. Like who am I trying to bend paper to my will and trying to control the path of water?!
Anyway thoughts I have while working on some art cards.
So super proud of you! I’m so glad this has captured you and you’re bringing us along for the journey! It’s so fun, I look forward to seeing them each day!
Feral Housewives Club fridge magnets just showed up!! I’ll have some of these for sale tomorrow at @stnorbertfarmersmarket just south of Winnipeg!
🤗 thank you!! 😊
Every time I sew something successfully, I become bolder and more confident sitting at that machine. Today I altered a sweatshirt and tomorrow I’m going to wake up with super powers, I’m sure of it!
This gave me an idea for a very obvious one I missed. Thank you! I didn’t make a family member in a garden and now I shall! 😁
an illustration with portraits of an elf and a goblin woman. the elf is facing the viewer and has a hand up to her face and is smiling slyly. Her hair is long and pulled back in a high ponytail, she wears big round glasses, and has long eyebrows. The goblin is facing the viewer and has one hand up making a peace sign over one eye, and has a big smile. Her hair is long and pulled behind her, and she wears big cat's eye glasses. Both portraits have a half-toned red copy underneath, with a half-toned blue copy underneath that. The background has a yellow frame with a curved stripe bar embellishing it, as well as hearts and stars and swirls. The background of the image is a gradient of light purple to darker purple.

Blue green octopus holding a milkshake from a soda counter style.
Here is Polly, she’s enjoying an old-school milkshake with a cherry on top!

It’s a tough slog. The two coldest weeks of the year are awful.
Blue octopus with orange undercarriage on black paper. Bubbles flit above the octopus.
I did this piece last year, but got hit with some inspiration and have built a collection around it. This is Hank, his family’s portraits are in the works.
I really love how pencil crayons feel right now. It’s nice to make something whimsical and soft feeling. Especially right now.
A colour wheel where triangles are the primary, polygons are the secondary, and smaller polygons are tertiary colours. Done in pencil crayon on white paper.
A simple pleasure for me is always a good colour wheel. Today I made one with my favourite core colours. Felt nice.
I’m really bad at surgery too. I get it. When they say don’t life the milk jug until you’re fully healed they mean it. But otherwise it wasn’t as bad as I anticipated. But I’d also built it up pretty bad. I hope that your uterus & body take it easy on you. And that you find somewhere comfy to be.
Churning pain that felt like something was going to crawl out Xenomorph-style and make me vomit at the same time. I’m so sorry.
I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago because I couldn’t handle it anymore.
I know those first hand. I’m so sorry you do too. It’s an awful torture that has no words.
Winnipeg has provided some whimsical distraction with the amount of hoar frost we’ve had lately.
The holiday season isn’t complete until I’ve watched the original The Grinch and as many Rankin and Bass shows as possible! It feels like there’s always more Rankin and Bass than time allows though.
Always!🤗
A postcard back and a postcard from laying together. The front image is a collage of robot heads on a polka dot background.
Today is Robot Appreciation Day! I made it up because I was sad when it wasn’t already on the list. I hope you’ll celebrate by doing something nice and kind for someone, or doing some self care today!
Want to celebrate with a postcard?
