Unfortunately, while there is a lot of promise in its unique aesthetic and setting, a lot of the experience was a frustrating slog.

Finished it now. I enjoyed it slightly more than season 1, the cast is great and I love how it shows appreciation for the source material instead of shunning it.
Many of my criticisms remain though. The cinematography is awful and they haven't handled the Marines right at all.

Watched the first few episodes of One Piece LA season 2. Those Zoro fight scenes in episode 3 were outstanding, holy hell.
worth remembering, David Lynch directed “fix your hearts or die” specifically at transphobes. it wasn’t a generic “no mean people allowed” statement, it was said by his Twin Peaks character in defense of a trans woman he cared for and deeply respected.
