I used to always do that too! And all the worlds had to be perfect before I started playing
To be honest, it was my therapist that recommended it 😭 it was hard at first but eventually it worked and now I can finally enjoy my expensive licensed game in my free time, I recommend trying!
The marketplace math: creators do all the work for free, company invests nothing, takes 70%. That’s a 100% margin built on independent contractors with no job security, benefits, or employment protections. it devalues game developers and artists too, and I really hope this blows in their face.
I agree! I sometimes switch to short lifespan if I feel stuck or long lifespan if I need more time, but never stop the ageing because then I also get stuck and never want to move on.
But I have never made it past gen 4, just so we’re clear 😆
Well I’d say your right because even with different traits sims aren’t that different from each other. I just try to heavily implement imaginative traits from events that happen to them, so that’s they’re different in my mind, if that makes sense. It’s easier the longer you play with one sim!

I play on normal life span and do one thing I want to do per generation. Be it a certain pack, feature, world etc.
I move the kids out or move with the child heir when I feel like I did all I wanted with the previous gen.
Then I do whatever I need to feel like I want to play with the new gen.
Im the opposite, I find it hard to vibe with my cas-made sims bc I though i like how they look, they all have the same man made feeling to me!
I like to adapt my sims to situation that happens to them. It’s harder in ts4 than precious iterations, but it makes the sims different from each other.
