for a big group, 100%. when I'm in a smaller group I can personally manage the chat fine as the facilitator, but in a big group, the Q & A is needed. But either way, the chat's just gotta be open. it's just gotta!
I don't stay in sessions where the chat is closed. My time and energy are too precious. I understand a lot of well-intentioned people do this, and while they are free to close the chat, I'm also free to leave.
amb teaches there there is a conversation that only the people in this room can have, and our job as facilitators is to find it. when we set the zoom chat to closed, we are doing the opposite of finding it.
