Right, so. Re: "BlueSky will implode."

There will never be a social media platform that enables you to have the degree of security, freedom, and privacy that many of you seem to desire because the problems with these platforms aren't technical, they're social. Further, they're uniquely social.

Instead of "the left isn't paying enough attention to these machine gods" they're claiming to build, perhaps we should write an article about how effective altruists brand themselves "left", ask who is writing these articles, and trace their cults and sources of funding.

Alice Wong, disability rights advocate and wordsmith, dies at 51 Alice Wong, a transformational leader for disability rights and justice, who founded the Disability Visibility project to magnify disabled culture, died Nov. 14.

A nice obituary for Alice, who was going to be recognized as one of The Post 50.

I hate that we now have to live without this phenomenal woman.

Transfeminismus | Cornelia Goethe Centrum

Today I‘m attending the transdisciplinary transfeminism conference at the Goethe university in Frankfurt (Main)!

I’m talking on the intersection of Crip, Queer and Transfeminist Theory in context of future- and technology-making.

Very excited! Nervous too, tho

It‘s pride month

Fight transnormativity, policing which expressions of transness seem „acceptable and redeemable“, defining who is worthy to be a rights-bearing subject.

Fight the singularization of narratives trans people get to have. There is more than „born this way“.

Trump is unleashing sadism upon the world. But we cannot get overwhelmed | Judith Butler Those who celebrate his defiance and sadism are as claimed by his logic as those who are paralyzed with outrage

Butler, on point:

"Those who celebrate his defiance and sadism are as claimed by his logic as those who are paralyzed with outrage. Perhaps it is time to stand apart from these passions to see how they work, but also to find passions of our own: ..."

Epistemicide" is a term you should become very familiar with in all discussions regarding trans oppression.
It sounds fancier than it is. The term is related to the concept of epistemic injustice. In essence, trans people have historically been subject to a form of epistemicide: our stories, histories, testimonials, ways of life, all erased and buried to maintain the patriarchal myth of dichotomous, naturalized, immutable sex.
We are then further marginalized through epistemic injustice, prevented from participating in the processes of knowledge-production, our testimonies devalued, our voices suppressed and our identities defined for us, not by us. The perception of us shaped by others, instead of ourselves. The conversation about us dominated by the voices of those who'd rather stamp us out, shouting over us constantly.
If you're not accounting for this as a central mechanism animating transphobia, you're missing a lot of the picture.

Epistemicide is going on in the USA atm. Ressources, knowledge and access are destroyed with the primary goal of complete eradication of marginalized communities.

If you’re in an institution doing any kind of DEI work, the most important thing to do right now is simply call it something else. Change it to “Community Outreach” & then keep on doing the same important work. When they outlaw Community Outreach rebrand it as “Strategic Partnerships,” rinse/repeat.

Tweet from Musk at 1:41 in the morning of 2. September 2024, writing „interesting observation“ with quote tweeting Autism Capital, which writes „Also known as the Reich effect“ above a screenshot from a 4C post, saying: „People who can't defend themselves physically (women and low T men) parse information through a consensus filter as a safety mechanism. They literally do
not ask "is this true", they ask "will others be OK with me thinking this is true". This makes them very malleable to brute force manufactured consensus; if every screen they look at says the same thing they will adopt that position because their brain interprets it as everyone in the tribe believing it.

Only high T alpha males and aneurotypical people (hey autists!) are actually free to parse new information with an objective "is this true?" filter.

This is why a Republic of high status males is best for decision making. Democratic, but a democracy only for those who are free to think.“
