The Princess Royal in a red coat with black gloves, smiling to the right of the camera. To her left are two people supported by Sense Scotland
Princess Anne cuts a white cake with pink trims. Next to the cake are two people supported by Sense Scotland and cupcakes with pink cases.
The Princess Royal looks down to the left towards a person supported by Sense Scotland. Next to her is a staff member wearing a white shirt and a colourful cardigan.
A woman points to the top left of the camera and the Princess Royal follows her gaze.
We were absolutely thrilled to receive a visit last week from our Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, to kick off our 40th Anniversary celebrations.
The Princess enjoyed a tour of TouchBase Glasgow, meeting people we support, their families, and our staff. We are thankful for her continued support.

A purple card with a heading in white letters which says ‘Member Spotlight: Sense Scotland’, followed by a quote below which reads: “I hope you will join me and CCPS in calling for the Scottish Government to invest more in the social care sector and reward staff proportionately to their efforts. We can’t control the weather. But we can all play our part in making sure social care staff get what they deserve – a fair wage.” The quote is attributed at the bottom to Angela Bonomy, CEO of Sense Scotland. A picture of Angela is on the left of the quote. There is a graphic of a spotlight at the top right, with the light from it shining down onto Angela’s quote, and some concentric circles underneath. The CCPS logo is featured at the bottom right.
💡 Member Spotlight: Looking back on Storm Éowyn, @sensescotland.bsky.social CEO Angela Bonomy explains how social care staff give their all to ensure people they support are safe.
So isn't it time they received a fair wage?
