I remember the last LP I bought at that time was the Judgment Night soundtrack. The vinyl was so thin it was almost a flexidisc. It was CDs from then on. Still bought 7"s as they never seemed to have the quality issues.
These ยฃ5, no frills CDs prove labels are still obsessed with trying to game the charts but there has to be artist buy-in too.
Sympathy for the acts who can't afford to play the game.
At this point, a cultural boycott of the US would be appropriate.
