I remember the last LP I bought at that time was the Judgment Night soundtrack. The vinyl was so thin it was almost a flexidisc. It was CDs from then on. Still bought 7"s as they never seemed to have the quality issues.
These £5, no frills CDs prove labels are still obsessed with trying to game the charts but there has to be artist buy-in too.
Sympathy for the acts who can't afford to play the game.
At this point, a cultural boycott of the US would be appropriate.
I'm sorry but we will only be listening to The Kinks and watching re-runs of The Good Life until the situation changes.
