I know what you mean, I do struggle with some of the current Hip hop, although I've been listening to a few bands from New Zealand like Mokomokai and Avantdale bowling club . A lot more chilled with a lot of Jazz touches to them.

A huge album, powerful then and still slaps hard now. The golden era of Hip Hop.
