I designed and printed my own 2-drawer thingy where each drawer takes 12 inks and it sits beside last year’s one in a drawer!!

I’m left handed and I only use fountain pens!!
It really comes down to how you position your paper. I usually have my paper rotated at about 45°degrees… this way when I write, my hand kind of goes right/down, away from what’s been freshly written!

I like De Atramentis’ scented inks innthe sense that they kind of stick to the pen, but not in a stinky way!
I had it in my Montblanc Boheme for about 4 months, now I smell it only in the feed when I clean the pen, very faint but definitely there

There are few lighter variants out there too…
I like this one particularly because of its red tips and feed!

For my 37th birthday, I kind of had to get a Platinum Century 3776. It has 37 in the name, I couldn’t not get it!!

I already had the Charters Blue in broad but it wasn’t broad enough, so this one is coarse and it is… dreamy!!

I held my Eco as I started typing and by now it has already started steaming a bit inside!

Doesn’t mean that I like it any less though 🙃

They are pop cap, best steel nibs out there and pretty cheap (if you can find one, discounted but there’s still plenty supply here and there) or look into Nahvalur, they have buttery smooth nibs and within the Eco price range

Ok… I went through the comments, and though I LOVE my Ecos, I have to say.. they’re not the most perfect choice for the job!
My main problem with them is that they burp quite often, so you have to keep twisting the piston to keep air out of the barrel. See if you can find a Faber Castell Loom.

I agree… and if I may add, I went to work today with red ink stain on my nose tip!
I was refilling my pen’s cartridges with a syringe from a scented DeAtramentis Apple Blossom ink bottle. I got a bit too close to the bottle and didn’t notice until I went to the bathroom after lunch to wash my hands

A friend of mine suggested Gohrsmüle paper for ink swatches, so I cut some sheets into 9x5 cm sheets, and spent my Friday evening swatching ALL MY INKS. None of them did bleed through!

I’ve never had issues with with cartridges.. only piston fillers that are not 100% filled tend to spill a little bit into the cap. Happened to me once on the flight back cuz I packed full pens and no extra ink. A TWSBI Eco was 1/3 used, but thankfully the well sealed cap kept all of it 😅
