Then consider paying her, and/or the maintainers of other #FOSS projects for their irreplaceable, invaluable work.
Whatever you choose to pay ($10/month?), it is a TINY FRACTION of the benefit we all get from their efforts ... and what it would cost to replace their code.
Drop in on Juliette at work to get an idea of how much TIME, HARD WORK, AND PASSION go into building and maintaining the #OpenSource backbone of all of our digital technologies.
I've been thinking a lot about #OpenSourceSustainability lately.
The topic is coming up across the full spectrum of projects, friends, colleagues, and clients (in 2nd place behind #DigitalSovereignty stuff).
Hey, #OpenSource and #PHP friends!

🚀 Ready to learn how strategic content ecosystems can transform your business?
📖 Read the blog: https://buff.ly/41rCuSL
Let’s talk about planting the seeds for your long-term success. 🌱
This approach requires patience, consistency, and the right strategy, but the payoff is worth it. In our latest blog post, we explore how content marketing and SEO work together, why their value compounds over time, and how you can achieve the same results.
We’ve seen this in action. We’ve helped clients achieve consistent growth by aligning their messaging with a solid content strategy. The result? Expanded influence and authority that keeps building. Ping me for case studies :-)
When done right, they’re more than just tactics; they’re investments. Each blog, case study, or white paper you publish acts as a seed, growing your authority, trust, and visibility. And the best part? These efforts compound over time, creating a self-sustaining content ecosystem.
Content marketing and SEO: A long-term investment with compounding rewards
It’s easy to focus on short-term wins like pay-per-click ads or quick-hit campaigns. But here’s the thing: real, sustainable growth comes from long-term strategies—like content marketing and SEO.

#Drupal events were as diverse and young as I have seen them in a long time, too.
So, Happy #FOSSness, everyone! We are making the world a tiny bit better every day: modeling democracy, cross-border and cross-cultural collaboration, and PEACE.
Keep it up, folks.
See you somewhere in 2025.
It was also exciting to see a lot of young people and newcomers at #OpenSource community events in 2024. Every #TYPO3 community event I attended was sold out, and there were many first-timers in attendance, including secondary and tertiary students.
For example, #TYPO3 is actively reaching out in the global south and elsewhere to help improve government digital infrastructure, train local talent, and increase economic value-production in local economies.
As much as we might tease this community for feeling very German and looking grumpy some days, they are doing enormous good in the world and setting a high bar and inspiration for us (as private citizens, other open source communities, and other organizations) to emulate.
Sketch note-style illustration of some themes from the T3Con 2024 keynote: open source and international aid, digital government, and the friendly faces of TYPO3.
So, my in-depth exploration of the #TYPO3 community's beautiful quirks at #T3Con seemed to hit about 98% as I had hoped ... which was a huge relief :-)
I was thrilled to be a part of the event, and I came away energized even at this late stage in the year.

#TYPO3 is doing a lot of good in the world, and setting an example—especially in digital government and international aid—that I feel #OpenSource projects and others should follow.
A great event for me is one where I learn and feel more inspired when I go out than when I went in, and where I am able to help at least one person with my ideas or experience. T3Con 2024 passed both of these tests.
It was an honor and a privilege to be invited to keynote the 2024 #T3Con in Düsseldorf recently. I was thrilled and humbled by the reception to my 58 minutes on stage and by the many conversations before and after.
