I told my nephew as we were leaving the zoo today that as soon as all the patrons leave, the animals get together to dance and tell jokes, and we aren't supposed to know about that.

The killing of schoolchildren should shock our conscience and cause us to recoil in horror.

A nation whose leaders can so easily shrug off the death of children, no matter the cause, is in need of moral repair.

There must be accountability and lessons learned from this tragedy. And we must never forget that Iranian children, too, are children of God.

No, I’m REALLY trying to give the benefit of the doubt because they were just confetti blasters and I think the intent was for them to be used at the party. They certainly couldn’t blow fingers off, but I bet they’d keep an eye doctor busy picking tiny plastic hearts out of someone’s corneas.

I'm calling it now: Soon he's gonna be talking about what a great word asylum is and how nobody says it anymore unless they mean mental institutions.
