Just a reminder that chaos always precedes big shifts. Precedes, & accompanies, before the new is created. The key is to keep our eye on the prize of where we r trying to go, and 2 understand that we arenβt being punished. It doesnβt mean anything is wrong. It just means that transition is happening
In the words of Tool, Spiral out, keep going.
The old must crumble in order for something new to be built on a solid foundation. And we are in this shift together.
Also the land is always here to listen to our worries if we need someone to witness us without judgement. Go to her.
This also doesnβt mean that we disengage. Itβs the opposite. It means we need to become even more conscious and present so we can adjust as we need to in the time we need to in order for the transition to happen, and so we can take care of ourselves through the shift.

Nature has been many things to me throughout my life.
My solace
My teacher
My mother and my father,
The provider of nutrients and sustenance to my body and soul.
She is where I always return when I feel that something is missing,
When I need to be held or calmed.

Thank you to Chief Ernest Alfred of the Namgis First Nations for sitting down with me. This chat was such an honour.
#conservation when intertwined with #firstnations rights takes on a whole other level of meaning. The fight for #wildsalmon is the perfect example of this. #britishcolumbia #canada #vancouverisland #salmon

The hi-light of my summer this year was visiting #alertbay and having the immense honour of interviewing their chief Ernest Alfred. We chatted about #fishfarms and how their removal has impacted his territory, as well as about his culture and community. Full video out on the tube at 1:00pm
