all of these, and the apex collab and them being rgs (my favorite grade) puts my wallet at risk . . . i dont even know anything about apex or holo live, the colors are just nice. . .

And in some ways I think that being tied to a popular product can be a little bit of a boon. I and many others got into the franchise from buying a kit, going "wow cool robot" and the watching the shows and getting hit hard with the anti war messaging inspired wouldn't have otherwise.
Use those weapons because the consequences of doing so are dire. You have several characters in MSG that are excited to use cool weapons and take battle, only to do so and become horrified and violently anti-war after they see the results. War is hell, and it doesnt pretend otherwise.
Personally I think the franchise for the most part (not always, but its a big franchise) does a good job at balancing reflecting how stuff is viewed irl of "yes, there is some inherent coolness and excitement to be found in weapons of war, we arent denying that" and "we should pray we never have to
I mean, it is product first given the genesis of the series was Tomino being asked to make a robot show to sell toys. However he used that position he was given to craft a story with very overt anti war messaging inspired by his experiences being a young child during and right after ww2.

it does have one of my favorite char clones though. the "Age II" part (aka not-zeta) is probably the best part. im not gonna say its great but its worth a watch.
