I know I'm a minority in this, but I have a love /hate relationship with fasolada.

After over 20 yrs of having it every Friday night, mum insisted we be the good Greek Orthodox family, it's more hate than love, I'm afraid.

My brother, on the other hand, looks at me in complete disappointment πŸ˜…

Melbourne crowned the best city in the world Melbourne has been crowned the best city in the world for 2026 in Time Out’s list of the 50 best cities, beating London and New York.

So……Melbourne.

That’s going to put a dent in the β€œMelbourne is dead” narrative of the national media.

Where It All Went Wrong: The Case Against John Howard - Amy Remeikis

"There is an apocryphal story of how Margaret Thatcher was asked what she considered her greatest achievement, and she supposedly said, Tony Blair”

Swap Thatcher with John Howard and Blair with Anthony Albanese.

Oh... imagine the potential, but...

A middle-aged Austrian man crossed into Poland one Friday morning for what could have been a morning of enjoying some pierogi.

But in less than an hour, Adolf Hitler's life would change.....

I hope you have better luck with this film than I. I couldn’t finish it.

At least it keeps my track record of not being able to finish Leonardo DiCaprio movies alive.

Nice work.

Every Greek in Melbourne would be very jealous of you right now. Because if you were to ask them how tomato season was this year… there would be cries of frustration about the 40Β°+ days having burnt their plants and no tomatoes.

Sorry for your loss Rob. That memory of her waving to you, cherish it. Her way of letting you know she loved you.

My mum did the same just before she passed away.

Lucky you!

The only way I would eat figs is when mum made β€œGlyko tou koutaliou” (fig spoon sweet). Made from whole, often unripe, green figs simmered in sugar syrup.
