I'm a software developer and an author, and I'm against it in general for both, especially writing. I think where it's slightly useful is in editing. When coding, it points out my mistakes. I can see it being similarly useful for pointing out grammar and punctuation mistakes. But that's it.
Part of me thinks that maybe we did, and Elon used his hackers to alter election results in swing states. They seemed to be able to hack into any encrypted/encoded government database they wanted to and steal information during DOGE.

Yeah, I've occasionally stumbled onto the same. Had someone complain about my novel that the main characters' language was too simplistic. It's set in a cave in Ireland 300 years after the apocalypse, and the characters only had a few books in their possession, so of course it'd be simplistic.
I just want to say, I was one of the first few to hate Nicki Minaj. There's plenty of room on my bandwagon, I just want credit for being a pioneer.
Cool, so they stop making things people aren't buying, to make more things people won't buy. Anything that makes him go bankrupt quicker is alright by me.

Oh, I'm working on my first cozy mystery at 48! I have written 9 other novels over the last 15 years, just finally getting to spread my wings in this genre. But yeah, I think with age comes wisdom and perspective!

Sometimes it's good to take a step back and recharge. I've been writing novels for 15 years now, and at least one time I forced myself to finish a book I wasn't ready to finish. Only one person has ever purchased a copy of it, and that one person didn't care for it.

:-D Yeah, sorry, my jokes usually require a Cliff Notes version. I firmly believe that any good joke requires being explained at length, to the full annoyance of the receiver.
I've read great books in both formats. I'm glad there's a diversity of writers to cater to the diversity of readers out there.

I was forced to read Wuthering Heights as a teenager, as it was assigned reading, and I will never forgive my teacher for that. Having said that, I was also required to read Ender's Game, which started my love for reading. I can't stand OSC as a person, but he did write some good stories.
2025 started out horrible, and just kept getting worse. We've been in a perpetual state of "hold my beer".

I found some of the characters triggering, but delighted in Blanc's take on the world and on reality in general. I also found the movie to be more clever from a whodunit standpoint than previous movies in the series. Worth the watch.
Of the nine novels I've written, only one of them was one I didn't feel great about writing. Usually, if I'm not fully enjoying what I'm writing, I just try to think of a way to throw something in to make it more interesting. But I have also taken long breaks before.
I love The Holiday. Awesome movie, sincere, feel good. Also, C.J., I'm the same way, I avoid sad movies at all costs. I've had enough sadness in my own life, I'd rather feel happy or intrigued.

I fully understood the book, and after having read it, I would never see the movie. Yet again you incorrectly assume that someone isn't capable of correctly interpreting it and concluding it's abysmal.
So you think that abuse and sociopathy are inconsequential? That seems to further reinforce my opinion of those that enjoy Wuthering Heights.
