Yeah, it probably dates from the early 90s when the Amiga had a following due to the Video Toaster over there, being as Japan shared the NTSC standard.

All they said is that some things end up reading more simplified when translated, not that English is a simple language. Maybe the nuance was lost in translation - rather ironic really. :)
Ishiyama-san saying "English is a simple language. Japanese is complex (better)". It remains a fact some things are expressed more simply in English, and some things about Japanese make it more simple. It all depends on the quality of the translation to express the nuance successfully.

Today is the anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake. I remember the devastating scenes of that day 15 years ago. I offer my prayers to all those affected. I didn't live in Iwate/Miyako at the time of the disaster, but I moved there some years later. Every March 11th I remember the disaster.

And I am under no illusions that BlueSky is "one of the good guys". I'm not naturally a cynic (that's more Hisao's area...he can be such windbag sometimes) but it's the reason we don't push things much on social media or spend much time online these days, we don't want to be part of the rat race.
I absolutely loved this video about enshitiffication by the Norwegian Consumer Council. The Rubbish Heap sort of exists in a way to look after and praise the good gaming stuff, because we really value and treasure it, rather than a ceaseless cycle of consumption and making stuff for content clicks.
For my Random Game Saturday, well I talk about a random game every other Friday so erm, it doesn't say on the back ๅๆๆฅใซไฝฟ็จใใชใใง (don't play it on a Saturday) umm, Techno BB, a cute puzzle game with a great soundtrack and a lot of visual appeal, rotate the blocks to clear them before the virus attacks!
It's not often that I wake up and find a video has shot from about 8 views to a mega whopping chart busting 54 views overnight. No sarcasm, that's good for this niche Japanese game review channel I affectionately call the Rubbish Heap. Techno BB seems to have drawn in quite an audience! #retrogaming
Techno B.B. is a quirky, cute, very turn of the millennium Konami release for the PlayStation released in Japan but fully in English. Rotate tiles to make sets before the virus gets them. Does this one go off with a bang or does it all end up going Pete Tong? See in this week's Rubbish Heap review!

I do play modern games, promise, *checks notes* well it is technically a Wii port, but I'm really enjoying Skyward Sword HD on the Switch.

The series will conclude later this year, I decided after 8 years of working away on YouTube to review my priorities in life as well as I needed to focus on something that could make me a living, as YouTube certainly isn't it! Best to do these things because you love and care about them.
