At the same time, further, increased walking-related attention improves body stability during walking in central visual field loss, suggesting that gait-specific attentional processes could be a potentially protective adaptation in this population.
We find that ndividuals with worse contrast sensitivity due to severe central visual field loss exhibit less conscious movement control and greater and more variable head-in space and trunk accelerations.
