But I realize for some people 1000 may be hugely impactful so this line of reasoning wouldn't make sense for them.
It now makes me wonder, what would the guaranteed amount need to be for me to take it. It's probably different for everyone and I find that just as fascinating.
Really fascinating. I immediately said one box. Line of thinking was 1000 is nice but not fundamentally life changing. 1 million on the other hand is though. If I take one box and leave with nothing then I'm in basically the same position as if I chose 2 boxes and got 1000.
I recently started to order cards online instead of picking up from LGSs again. I hate how much the delivery increases my anxiety
A screenshot from the linked article.
Pioneer is in dire straights right now, and I wanted to spend some time talking about it.
I love this format and really want to see it succeed.
New article out now over on @coolstuffinc.com!

Another reason I'd like to see more pioneer over standard is because how often major events line up with release dates. Many RCs are held the week of prerelease with cards legal. Sourcing those is a nightmare and you likely need fewer for pioneer or modern.
I hate how many current events this could be referring to.
If the snapshot is the council of Elrond that kinda makes sense, right? There is the one ring and both Elrond and Gandalf have an elven ring. Though each would have a different appearance.
My foot is wide and weirdly shaped. So far the only running shoes I've found that fit is Altra Torin. Wish I had more options
They need to make sure they get digital rights for those secret lairs and commander products in that case though. It's become more and more of a problem on MTGO where legacy and duel commander can't mimic paper
Getting back into modern. Tried affinity for the first league and went 4-1. Deck felt strong. Had some enjoyable games.
Yep. Looking at the cards now makes me feel physically ill. I get why they went with that art direction but oof it is no longer for me.
I feel like it depends on the type of bar. Bar with a full kitchen makes more sense to allow kids (usually restricted hours or certain sections tho). Also breweries with outside seating that lets you bring your own food.
A hole in the wall without full food options? Def no kids
WotC heard your complaints about not enough data and decided to post the top 500 miles instead of just top 8 miles.
Event locator always felt kinda bad to use tho tbh. Really awkward in Seattle because 15 miles could mean needing a ferry and/or long drive
I received this in a book exchange around Christmas time and it is next on my to read list. Very excited for it.
If you are talking about The current Olympic game, it is very confusing for me as someone going through the Slovak citizenship by descent process right now lol.
I've pretty much given up on playing commander now. I physically can't see 4 boards at once. And there are too many cards getting printed to keep up with, each with a half dozen printings, several of which taking away the traditional context clues like colored borders.
But it would be nice if some sets were for me. Lorwyn was finally a set for me but when I bought my bundle the box came damaged. WotC refuses to do anything because the box is "not part of the product". So I just didn't even get to have the thing I care about in the 1 set for me this year.
Feeling rough. My eyes have been doing worse than normal. Some of the new cards spoiled give me reading trouble but I feel like I can't speak up because I just keep seeing creators/ambassadors pushing that we can't complain about the set and not every set needs to be for me.
It also kinda highlights one of the things I don't like about UB. When you just take snapshots of an IP you lose a lot of the context around villains/problematic characters. And that context is so very important to understand for characters or ideas like that.
I'd be fine with them banning it.
It's been a while since I played an Assassin's creed game but they were based on the same christian military force but had lore go back further and had a lot of conspiracy theory around it. I don't like it. I wouldn't have made the card personally. But I don't think it as problematic as others.
We have a sketchy storage room underneath our porch. Originally we called it fun house because it had "fun house" painted in red along with a goat head. Had to remodel it when doing the porch stairs though so now it is all insulated and cement and we call it the screaming room..
I'm excited to see you start back up! Really helped get me going last year.
I'm taking a short break due to some hip soreness but I recently got my 10k PR below an hour and I'm still planning on running my first half in July.
Friend realized mid bite and just made eye contact as the camera went by.
Yellowhat just released his video about PT Lorwyn Eclipsed. He did a panorama of everyone gathering for the player of the year ceremony Thursday. The clip is actually a second take though because my friend was right behind Nassif and was shoveling food into his face the first take.
Sounds dumb but usually 0/10. I struggle so much with anxiety and feeling safe at events that I can't even play frequently.
If I feel safe and my anxiety is under control, probably a 4.
Same. Although in my case I realize the impact to me is minimal because commander has moved past what I enjoy. Which is unfortunate for me but it may be better for others
I feel like it is almost guaranteed after how many hybrid cards they just printed.
The best part is the dragon is front and center. It is the clear focal piece of the advertisement even though it doesn't fit at all
Blink (blink)
