Last Sunday I visited Beamish for the first time ever
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It felt damned good to go through the fast entry lane via my Museums Association pass whilst also pushing Sir H 🐼 in his stroller! First stop after the tramride in; The Sun Inn; 1913 pub and I made myself right at home.

Good morning.
Word of the Day is as beautiful as it is underused. ‘Confelicity’ is finding joy in the happiness and success of others.
My pro tip is take one of those plastic party wine glasses with you. The ones where the bowl and stem fix together. Adds a touch of class; you can decant from your water bottle/flask. Wash up and reuse. It might not last forever but you will either have another stored away, or come across one.
Feed please.
Dancing about in the hostel kitchen at 6am, coat on over my nightie, earphones in, having been unable to sleep because of all the ideas and connections firing off, not just from the #Museums2024 Conference, but the preceeding weeks, months and years, is a mood. And it's a good one. #TheJoyOfMuseums.
Ended up #NotGoingOut for a single meal in Leeds in the end at #Museums2024. Aldi to the rescue and some shopping done too. It's a #MuseumsAssociationConferenceSpecial on my bed. It's been a very good one and it's not quite over yet. Tours tomorrow! #TheJoyOfMuseums Cheers #MuseumsAssociation ! 🍷

From July.
'Human rights lawyer Helena Kennedy has been appointed chair of a new body that will tackle harassment and bullying in the creative industries, described as a "go-to body for anyone experiencing misconduct".'
The awkwardness for all involved 😬
A great response from the #museum though. They've worked on *not* scaring that kid away from museums for life.
correction. Dr. Sasha Turner.
I highly recommend this.
2 1/4 hours long! There's a ceremony and then there are speeches, a poem written and performed by Rasheeda Page-Muir and a soliloquy.
The keynote is by Prof. Sasha Turner.
The whole event is impressively hosted by Priscellia Robinson and Dr. Nathaniel Adam Tobias C̶o̶l̶e̶m̶a̶n̶
