Not at all! On the contrary: I’m extremely appreciative! Thank you. I think it poses a real challenge, and that’s why I felt the need to write about it to begin with. So if that’s helpful to anyone else, then I’m stoked ❤️

Thank you very much for reposting and summarizing.
Thanks very much for reposting this and spreading the word!
Would you believe me if I told you that over half was edited out 😂😂
Hahaha I’ve been accused of long winded ness many a time 😂 Guilty!
Thank you for reading it and passing it on. There’s a lot to wade through, and sometimes knee jerk reactions aren’t the only viable ones ❤️
Oh yay! Thanks for saying hi. Yeah, we’re still dealing with the aftermath of Etsy shutting us down last year. But it did force us to get our own website set up, and that has been a very good thing. I hate Etsy like the dickens…and yet I’ve left the business partially set up there. It’s complicated
Just wrote a blog post about this boycott because I found I had too much to say to fit into a post. Here’s the link if anyone is interested in reading: unfetteredsupply.com/alligator-al...
My small business got its start on Etsy, and is still partly operative there. I just wrote a blog post about this boycott today, and I’ll attach the link in case anyone is interested in reading: unfetteredsupply.com/alligator-al...
I’ve been salvaging marine debris (rope from fish farms, chaffing gear, fishing net, crab line) in order to break it down and repurpose it as fibre art.
These coiled and knotted mini mermaid wreaths are how I’ve been experimenting with the possible colourway of the Anthropocene—nary a neutral!
Uh oh! You’re not seeing swirls everywhere too, are you?

Completely?! Wow. Good for you.
Heyyyy! Happy to see you here, Katie!
Ok! Doin it. It does feel like starting over, but I guess there’s a lot of value in that sometimes :)
Craft Historians, Librarians, and Feminist Art Historians, are you on here?
I’m starting to piece together a written history of macrame that engages a feminist critical analysis. I’m in search of breadcrumbs at this point. Are there any key texts or thinkers that you would direct me to?
Glad you’re back. Your loom needs you.
Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming
We’ve got this 💪✊️😂 I guess it’s just about diving right in
Alright, well, I guess it’s time to begin the act of conversion from meta. Artists, any insights on what’s worked well for you to get set up in this space? Or is it just about diving in and trusting the process?
