This, on the shutters in the local market, is (I assume) Real Victoria - one of the founding clubs of UD Las Palmas, wearing their NUFC inspired black and white stripes.

Did not know about this link between Newcastle United (#NUFC) and UD Las Palmas. They still have the black and white crest as part of their badge.

Club Football de Mogan Stadium with floodlights on

Took in some Canarian non league football last night at Club Fútbol de Mogán. Think we were the only non locals there, and were met with much confusion. Fab little terrace, cheap entry, €1 cans of lager, and an entertaining Friday night fixture to round off a good evening.

They’re very partial to chopped up apples, if you’re keen on it feeding in your garden!

They can have an annoying amount of variation in colour can fieldfare. A bird that continually catches me out!
