if i ever run a company i'm making people sign an NDA before the interview, but it's because the interview process is actually a surrealist artistic routine and i don't want them to spoil it to other potential employees

honestly didn't expect to come around on ds1 as much as i have
the early game felt like a chore and there were times i wondered if it'd get any better, but basically everything from sen's fortress onward has been much more enjoyable for me than anything before that point

i'd heard talk about it over the years but i underestimated just how much it'd feel like it was made in like an afternoon

lost izalith is one of the greatest video game areas of all time

of all the valentines cards i've seen, this one's got to be my favourite

felt like making some shitty valentines cards with ocs and such, perfect for if you want that special someone to be more concerned about your mental wellbeing

gotta say ds1 is definitely more enjoyable now that i'm actually able to make tangible progress and the chain of getting hard stuck on every single boss is now broken
still can't see myself preferring it over ds3 by the end, but at least it feels like i might actually play through to the end now

turns out the secret to capra demon is the dark woke andre supreme
after that i did not expect to beat like 4 more bosses today

capra demon runback has got to be the most dogshit thing i've ever experienced in a videogame
so tempting to just uninstall and never touch ds1 again

actually i'm... not sure i've ever actually finished a jrpg that wasn't either pokemon or smt
mostly because i felt tired of chrono trigger by the final portion, but in the other ones i made solid progress in (ff7, x-2, legend of mana) i still only got maybe 1/3rd of the way through

i need to do a better job of actually playing jrpgs, every so often i'm like "man i should play this jrpg" and almost invariably it's one that i *have* played before, i just never got past the 2-hour mark
