Okay, so the title "Small Prophets" must refer to homunculi.

I was very excited about the new Mackenzie Crook show, Small Prophets. (I'm a HUGE fan of The Detectorists.) But then I saw a couple of trailers that were not what it seemed it was supposed to be. I was getting depressed! But now I see this and I'm excited again.

Despite the drizzle (it's the kind you can walk around in & not get very damp) I am going to get these pansies & johnny-jump-ups planted today! I had never seen blue johnny-jump-ups before, only the purple & yellow ones. I have to be wise about where I plant them since Mr. Sykes loves to eat them.

There's a celery stick in case something needs the moisture from it.

There's used chicken bedding in there, & there's cardboard for egg laying.

Looks like you use rubbermaid type dog houses in your henyard, too! I use the halves for dust bath tubs, for huts to hide from hawks in, for shelter during storms, for laying huts...all sorts of things!

Not a goldfish! 😂 I did a double take... it's a baby carrot. Silly chickens were having a little joke on me this morning.

I want to add some vines, cattails, wildflowers, & some insects. In fact, I'm going to paint over the bottom third of the whole thing & add a decaying log for insects & some fungi. That means losing the turtle, alligator, & snake. I'm finally okay with that, so I can start to move forward again.

I never finished it. There's also a raccoon, a nutria, a snapping turtle, a coral snake, and an alligator. They're all quite rabid looking! One day soon i'm going to start working on fixing them up a little. I've been staring at it a lot lately, working on it in my mind.
