A super rough ballpark would be 600-800€, depending on how much you wanted simplified - for example, prining a gradient would be way cheaper, but custom dyeing would be more convincing

The exceptionally lazy just use mass-produced photos as (implied) work examples. I ran out of images but the blue witch comes up immediately when you search "The Snow Witch Ranni"

Twitter user WildCreations_1 retweeting a video purportedly of a client thanking them for their work. The plushie in the video is a YouTooz Thomas Sanders Blind Box

Another is to use dropshipped plushies to get "client testimonials" - Google Lens is fantastic at sniffing out sources. (A caution - some sites, like aliexpress, are notorious for stealing artist photos; look for original sources or ebay listings with real photos)

I don't want to provide a training course for scammers, but red flags include:

Replies to a ton of "seeking commission" posts in WILDLY different mediums. Many people draw and sew; fewer people make fursuits, cosplays, digital art, AND vtuber models.

Your OC is beautiful! I love making complicated OCs but the cost would be in the many hundreds for those details (mostly layered mane gradients) 😅

Also consider someone like @larsentoys.bsky.social, who specialises in using wig hair to make manes, which might work better with the sparkly stripes!

Whoof! I've never spilled leather dye on my skin, but a dye designed to stick to tanned skins probably sticks to living skin pretty well.
The bike shop I volunteered with used a mix of used coffee grounds and dish soap to scrub off grease; if your skin can take it, maybe that'll help fade it faster?
