So, Israel now seeking to evacuate hundreds of thousands from Beirut, presiumbly so they can annihilate the city, just as they did in Gaza. What will it take western governments to stand up and say stop to the illegal imperialist actions of Israel and the US?

I've watched this every single time someone has shared it through my feed. At least 4 times at this point. It's such well made social media. Funny, well-acted/videoed, and it even promotes their events.

10/10 no notes other than the notes I just typed. πŸ˜‚

Despite assurances, no workable solution has been delivered for The Complex.

This is in stark contrast to the Taoiseach’s taskforce for Dublin, which talks about extending cultural access, supporting artists, and developing cultural hubs.

It is nothing short of a failure of political will.

Educational background key indicator of immigration views in UK, study finds Research comparing UK and US finds people with fewer qualifications more likely to support rightwing movements

This is why education is so fundamental. It is a great achievement of the Irish state (especially through the technological university sector) to have achieved such a high level of participation in third-level education, as well as in upper-level secondary. www.theguardian.com/society/2026...

We have been absolutely inundated by women contacting us with stories of how their organisation treated them when they made a complaint about being treated badly at work-especially if they mentioned sexism or racism

We are inviting any woman who would like to share her story to get in touch

The public sector and even the Catholic Church have shown some level of ambition over the decades. It is the gombeen private sector that is sorely lacking in imagination.

Let’s be clear: if the Palestine Action hunger strikers die, the government will bear moral responsibility | George Monbiot The three remaining hunger strikers have been convicted of nothing. Yet with astonishing cruelty, ministers refuse to listen to their reasonable demands, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

This is an absolutely shocking situation that the British government has successfully kept hidden from the public. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Just heard that #RTE have made their decision and Ireland will NOT participate or broadcast #Eurovision. A brave and correct decision.

Can't agree - those countries that recognise a genocidal state when they see one are perfectly entitled not to engage in cultural whitewashing. Well done by Spain, the Netherlands and Ireland - countries that have a conscience. Proud of our national broadcaster.

04.12.2025 17:47 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Spain and the Netherlands have indicated they are out of #Eurovision, due to EBU decision to permit Israel to take part. Crucial that #Ireland/#RTE follow their lead and indicate they are not prepared to allow Israel to whitewash their genocidal actions in Gaza and the West Bank.

This is an excellent response to Bill Gates’s recent β€˜memo’ to the world. Anyone can see that his intervention has been immediately weaponised by the usual suspects to negate the depth of the climate crisis. He was either ridiculously naive or knew exactly what he was doing.

Not anti-EU, but critical of aspects of its governance; anti-militarism and only reflecting the reality that Hamas is a key political player in Gaza.

Maybe also time to condemn your government colleagues for their racist dog whistles that lead directly to this sort of action.
