I tried replaying some of the great games from my childhood. I came away with a lot of "Actually, this is fucking dogshit!" The amount of bullshit "anti-fun" and sudden spikes in difficulty/complexity was ridiculous.

Also I used to say "fuck" and "fucking" a fuckload more than I do these days.

Episode of a podcast I was on came up on my playlist. 30 seconds in, upon hearing myself speak and started cringing, and it didn't stop until I skipped it. This happens every time a random episode of that podcast comes up.

Almost as disconcerting are the "gamers" that take mirth in it happening.

You know, if my account on your service is over 18 years old, maybe you can skip asking me to verify my age.

Just read a diatribe by an artist I used to be fond of, one in which he cements himself as unchanging, immutable and unforgiving. I thought to myself, "Imagine being the same exact person today that you were when you woke up yesterday. How embarrassing."
