Big focus on care workforce but also “we must listen to the voices of people who draw on support”
We need smooth transitions from children to adult support with no cliff edges- will be meeting children’s counterpart to discuss this.
Public has such a vital role for sure. It’s the stuff of individual, family, community sense-making. A hopeful foreground for promoting ownership & agency around the stuff that really matters. It’s a space within which we can appreciate different lived knowledges, privileges & positive influence.
Longer term spending options for councils - and returning the £900m stripped out of public health - would allow councils to invest in prevention. This also helps to address entrenched inequities, eg life expectancy. #ncasc24
