Fordola Lupis, who executed if not orchestrated Krile's capture and now lives with her echo
"It's time to go, Mistress Tataru. . ."
A dialogue choice from Arcadion. The first option is "The loser of our match has to retire!" and the second is an ellipsis. Ahlii'ya Aykha looks ahead in shock, mouth agape. The second selection is highlighted.
AND THE GAME LET YOU DO THAT
she just makes this dumbfounded face and if you pick "..." she stays stuck like that until someone steps in to do your part for you
my stupid bit paid off in full and I was dying laughing
this has been my raid static pfp ever since

Honey B. helps you by broadcasting the challenge live, so you can do a proper callout/challenge in true wrestling fashion. Ahlii'ya was prepared to genuinely rip the guy down but she was NOT prepared to make a big performance of it in front of everyone.
(2/)
due to FC QotDs, it's been a long-running joke for just me that Ahlii'ya has HORRIFIC stage fright. for all the things she can do, performing for people locks her up completely. she has cried.
so the scene in Arcadion where you have to challenge Howling Blade to a fight was immensely rewarding

Dragana reads up on theory and calculates probabilities turn-by-turn and Ahlii'ya plays like Ichihime from Mahjong Soul. open tanyaos, riichi into furiten, calling irrelevant winds. mahjong nights where they're both present aren't even close.
at least they both have fun somehow
the one trait they share is enjoying games. Ahlii'ya likes triple triad and is a (very) casual mahjong player, and Dragana is a tryhard sweat at any and every strategy game she can get her big ol' hands on.
what I'm saying is I think Dragana has fleeced Ahlii'ya of no small amount of gil. (cont)
even ignoring the "isn't it weird how they're never in the same place at the same time" bit I think there's no reason whatsoever for Ahlii'ya and Dragana to know each other. radically different people with different lives who just happen to be in the same FC
however, (cont)

Ahlii'ya doesn't tolerate being called anything but her name. she doesn't tell people twice.
Dragana doesn't have any in particular, though her mother still calls her by many endearing diminutives when she visits. she playfully feigns exasperation.
Ahlii'ya is simpler: she just wants to help people and make things better. the wanderlust came later, but her call to adventure was how bad Eorzea is and how many people she could help
Dragana was always good at study but longed to apply and test her knowledge in the field. she grew up hearing tales of adventure and heroism from her older classmates, like Uaruru, and decided adventuring would give her the best chance at exciting tests
since we've seen that souls can hang around with their memories for a shockingly long time I'll say Ahlii'ya is summoning the spirits of departed heroes who aren't done saving the world. could be from any shard, anywhere, any when. she'd want to be afforded the same kindness
Wuk lamat doodle that I thought turned out cute π¦ #ffxiv
Pretty late response, but... I felt compelled. #riviart
what it feels like to die during lb3 animation
like, there's *3* canon fights where tank LB3 gets used. The Final Day and Seat of Sacrifice were Azem summonings. so the only people who've seen a tank WoL cast LB3 are Zenos (who then dies), Emet (posthumously), and the 7 shmucks you fought Alexander with. *maybe* G'raha and the ironworks guys
the DRK LB3 is really cool and I love it being a moment of "if you ever wonder how much darkside Ahlii'ya can channel, here's a pocket dimension of it"
it's always hype when a mechanic requires Tank LB3 and I appreciate how few and far between they are. they truly feel like a desperate final gambit
Ahlii'ya in battle is LOUD. you've gotta be to keep all eyes on you.
nearly no one has witnessed her cast Dark Force - she goes eerily quiet, drowning the field in darkness as she repeats in hoarse whisper:
"In the darkest hour, in the blackest night, think of me and I will be with you.
Always."
Ahlii'ya does her best to hold it in. fists clenched, shoulders trembling, jaw set, what few tears fall doing so under only extreme duress. it's not something she consciously does, she just doesn't get any catharsis from it.
Dragana cries like a one piece character. it's gross.
it is very funny to me that by sheer coincidence the oldest Ahlii'ya picture I have prominently features a dysphoria hoodie
I was really interested to see what we'd be doing in Fantasy The Americas and it turns out the answer was Not Very Much
ooh I have a fun answer for this from an old FC qotd
Ahlii'ya would make herself a chocobo for no deeper reason than that she likes them. she'd make her sona a cutesy mascot and almost exclusively produce images of her giving twee wellness advice
Dragana Svetasch, female hrothgar, wearing a Gold Saucer bunny outfit. She's sitting on a couch in the Saucer, hand on hip, looking angry and exasperated. She looks like she really wishes she weren't here right now.
Dragana would never. never ever for ever never. it's ridiculous and serves no practical purpose and makes no sense and it's *embarrassing* and
Ahlii'ya likes to dress cutesy when she can, though she'd generally start drawing lines when skin gets shown.
now that she's covered in fur she's less precious about cloth coverage, so absolutely, yeah. she does think it's meant to be cute/funny rather than anything else, mind

to Erenville's consternation this explanation is met with sage nodding from the other gleaners and "up to Erenville's ears" catches on as a saying
fun fact: I distinctly remember having the idea for the fourth one, sketching it, lining it, coloring it, putting the letters in over the hand-written caption, posting it the discord, and several minutes later going "shit I forgot my meds"
