I hadn’t realised they were remaking Seance on a Wet Afternoon, but if you haven’t seen the 1964 original, you should. Kim Stanley and Richard Attenborough are astonishingly good in it.

My novel 'Contacts' is set 7 years ago today; also the day I started working on it. I wrote a little reflection on it on my Patreon, as a free article. It might interest you if you read the book, or are just interested in writing. But if not, IT WILL NOT. SWERVE IT.

Always a joy to get a contributor copy, but Arrow's release of Salem's Lot is a true thing of beauty. Bill Ackerman and I were thrilled to be asked to do a commentary by the mighty @horrornonna.com . A thousand thanks!🧛❤️
Sometimes I just love trash. Sorry not sorry

Celebrating International Women’s Day by finally watching the Japanese hitman buddy comedy BABY ASSASSINS (2021). You guys were right, this is pretty good.
Hey y'all - it's #InternationalWomensDay, so I thought I'd just take a moment to promote my site as I'm really proud of the work that I've been doing there. I've been falling in love with writing again & I'd be grateful if you checked it out: from-the-desk-of-the-horror-chick.ghost.io

My grandfather was the Commander of the Colombian Air Force.
Last watch: Sergio Leone’s epic western with an electric central performance from Henry Fonda and a powerful Ennio Morricone score. It tips its hat to so many Hollywood westerns while offering many evocative moments of its own. #Filmsky boxd.it/dnwEVh

New review: PLOT OF FEAR (1976)
"Paolo Cavara’s bawdy, irreverent follow-up to his earlier Giallo BLACK BELLY OF THE TARANTULA. Someone is killing members of a sex club, leaving a page from a book of fairy tales next to each body."

Yes it's a self confessed Star Wars rip off but I love this crazy Japanese sci-fi. The makers had seen Star Wars the previous year in the USA but made sure that their film opened in Japan five months before Lucas' epic. A joy to watch.
I should have the unplugged DVD somewhere I should really dig it out. You’re constantly reminding me of old CDs I have somewhere but haven’t thought about for years. Appreciate it.
Maybe because I watched anime for so long, Hitomi Yaida's vocals don't offend my ears. (I once read a review refer to her as the Japanese Shakira?) Sharp and textured but unique. But I also can't understand the 1st (English) verse in her classic "my sweet darlin'" (2000) without captions. #JPop
Complain. I've seen it work!
