Oooh, gi-unsa nimo ug kat-on ug formal nga Binisayâ? I’ve been wanting to learn more, since it wasn’t taught in school (then)—especially orthography—pero it’s proving difficult to find reliable resources.
A receipt saying: To Go Chanteal. Chicken tikka Butter chicken Palak paneer Rice pulao Garlic naan Mango Chutney
Little piles of each arranged on a plate.
It’s Chantal.
…although chanteal sounds like a lovely color.
An order for pineapple fried rice with crispy pork, under the name “Jahta”. It’s Chantal.
It’s Chantal.
This is the best one yet!
An order under “Chantao”. It’s Chantal. …I love that they ask me to spell my name—and I don’t even try to make it intentionally difficult! That’s cheating—and yet they still come up with these delightful variations. And the food is good. A win all around.

Oh wow, you’re stunning! And that view is gorgeous, too.
An order under “Chanpal”. The food is generally good, and has the worst/best variations on my name.
It’s Chantal.

This looks like it tastes amazing.
I’ve been called that, too! Haha.
SHATEL!
It’s Chantal.
Captivating!
This triptych, though.
What’s YOUR favorite “motivational poster”?
For a nanosecond I thought it was a huge chandelier, but, no, it is Google's new QUANTUM Computer.
It is so powerful that it can finish in 6 seconds what would take Frontier, the current best supercomputer, 47 YEARS!
It is 241 MILLION times faster than its predecessor released in 2019.

Haven’t read anything of hers yet, but her name keeps coming up (apparently for good reason).
Oooh, interesting! Especially “Radical Nature”.
So elegant!
Most of the current reads are on Kindle, but this looks a bit prettier. What are you guys reading? Among a couple of other books, I’m reading the fantastic “Modern Bestiary” by @joannabagniewska.com. @chrisl.bsky.social thank you for the recommendation!
You may have some competition here. Cuddles and naps sound divine!
What a great idea! @bobbygiamatti.bsky.social @chrisl.bsky.social
A receipt with an order under “Shanpal”.
It’s Chantal.
It really is insane. It sounds like something that only happens in movies.
Ohhh, d’oh! 😆
)
I shall now forever call them that!
Sadly, no; my voice does not compare favorably with hers.
Haha, yeah. But it actually sounds really pretty to my ears/mind. Where I grew up, “santan” was the name of these tiny red four-lobed flowers that grew in ornamental clusters and had sweet nectar (Ixora coccinea, Google says.
Then we’re all weird together. I remember a spelling quiz from when I was in elementary school, and my “manoeuvre” was marked incorrect; so I successfully challenged it thanks to the trusty tome. I bet my teachers found me insufferable. 😆
