Holy shit, Stargate discourse? In 2026?
Honestly, I'm surprised that's been the desire. I got introduced to it recently by a wonderful friend, and my biggest hope is to see the old timeline continued, but in a "lateral" sense. More powers established in the galaxy, and drama, etc.
If it's about consent in a power imbalance, then the conversation is about consent as a legal definition, not consent in reality.
Heavy power imbalance negates consent -legally-. But it doesn't guarantee that both parties are incapable of consenting.
So this isn't about morality.
But adults are capable of consent. I'm not gonna justify real incest, but an adult father and an adult son would be capable of consent to each other.
