Yeah. When I was at The Trace we linked a ton to studies, court cases, etc, but we followed print logic (nice coinage). As a reader thatβs what I prefer as well.

This is why pubs should use links only to expand upon or provide evidence for points that are fully spelled out in the article. A good motto to follow: donβt make readers click a link to understand what youβre saying or what youβre referencing. Do that, and link rot isnβt much of an issue.

They were never targeting Love in the draft. This move makes much more sense
London Calling
Sidestepping the IJ debate: DFWβs essays, collected in book form, are far too long β I say this as someone who edited one of them for a magazine β but a bunch of those essays are brilliant. That was his natural medium.
Notable here that its not just the americans but also gulf states with money
Shia women in Iran do not wear a burqa. Thatβs Afghanistan, moron. Iranian women wear a hijab. And Iran is a sophisticated country of 90 million, you pos.

The Ford Pinto had a death rate of 85 people for 10 million cars sold. The Cybertruck hasn't sold 10 million, but the fatality rate so far maths out to 1,452 people killed per 10 million sold.

I welcome the emergence of this deeply satisfying literary genre.
Clinical case of advanced Capgras syndrome.
It will be K-Pop for the same reason this year was Bad Bunny: capitalism. NFL is eager to move into Asian markets, just as itβs eager to make greater gains in Latin American markets. Plus next yearβs SB is in LA, which has a large Korean community. Makes too much sense not to happen.

This could describe the us during the Cold War and war on terror. Now weβre in the βthe enemy is usβ phase.
Chrissie Hynde was a freshman at Kent State at the time and also was on the quad during the shooting β one of her friends was shot and killed.
Find and read Erik Hedegaardβs brilliant profile of JCM focusing on his insane smoking addiction βhe smokes in the shower! Written in the 90s. Appeared in a collection of great magazine stories that somehow got killed. (Tobacco ads played a role here.)
You should read Ian McEwanβs latest, the dystopian climate novel What We Can Know. Itβs told largely from the perspective of those selfsame future historians.
And the good Claritin OTC
The oil companies realize it will cost hundreds of *billions* to get VZ infrastructure up to speed and create usable crude there, and that this will all take at least 10 years to make happen, right?
Here to defend OBAAβs needle drops. I *loathe* Steely Dan, but that song worked perfectly in the martial arts training scene. And βAGβ like you said was spot-on (and was a subversive meta nod to the use of it by J Demme, one of PTAβs favorite filmmakers).
Really? Thatβs a low bar. Dylan alone wrote at least four: Like a Rolling Stone, Hurricane, Itβs Alright Ma, A Hard Rainβs Gonna Fallβ¦
