For the bottom 40% of families, California taxes are LOWER than states like Florida and Texas.

In fact, 16 other states tax LOW-WAGE earners MORE than California taxes our HIGH-WAGE earners.

The evidence is clear, and the numbers don't lie.

The vitriol displayed by the right wing papers against the Government for its sane & reasoned approach to events in the Middle East, which enjoys overwhelming public support, is something to behold. They cant bear to support Keir Starmer on anything, even when they & their readers know he’s right.

Context here is that the last Conservative government borrowed more than the G7 average every single year. This year? We are borrowing less.

Reform lost the British-born vote (by about 1500) as well as the Commonwealth voters (by about 1500) in Gorton and Denton - the foreign-born vote including naturalised British citizens by maybe 3000.

They got 29% by focusing their campaign in just one-third of a 60% white seat
