I grew up being horribly allergic to wool and lots of other stuff. Now that I’ve outgrown that, it feels like a superpower to envelop myself in wool every chance I get.
I also love my antique HBC blankets. I figure my ancestors worked hard to trade for those things, I’m going to cherish them.

Went to a neighbourhood party last night and we were outnumbered by the dogs that tagged along. And they also out charmed us!

I save up my holey merino wool clothes to repurpose the good parts into other stuff. I bet you could make an interesting patchwork scarf with the pieces 🤔

You’ll want a really long narrow scarf that wraps around and around. Then as you need to, you can pull open the mouth opening if it starts to get too much condensation

We wrapped scarves around our foreheads and then around our faces so that just your eyes peep through. It’s also a great way to make an instant snow blindness mask.

I guess. I spent my growing up years in Winnipeg and Northwestern Ontario and I don’t think I ever owned an umbrella. Someone needs to tell them about scarves. Or maybe pinch one of those balaclavas from an ICE dude.

This strangely makes me feel heard

It happens when you’re a victim of partner violence also. And trying to report violence towards their kids results in accusations of retaliation or spitefulness. It’s always about those with more power protecting each other’s backs even when the harassment comes from their trad wives.
